Reflection

As both an Atenean and an Edwardian for my Senior high school journey, I would say I learned a lot not only in terms of lessons and concepts to study but also, I learned and got to know myself more. It was at this time where I was tested to see how I would respond to challenges and how I could overcome them. Thankfully, I think I did considering how it is almost the end of the school year. I am thankful to all of the friends I made. In Xavier, where I got to meet a lot of people outside of my circle and in St. Edward, where I got to meet a lot of people outside of what I am normally used to. I am also grateful for the teachers that helped me all throughout the process. Surely, I could not have done this without them as well. As a high school student, I never really liked the idea of an additional two years. I wanted to be in college right away. After experiencing Senior high school, I got to see and improve my character. I got to work on my leadership and communication skills. I also got to work on my problem-solving skills as these were the most evident during my journey. Looking back, I think I see the importance of Senior high school wherein I got to experience both workplace and school setting. I got to see how college would be like. I realized, that my junior high-school self would not be ready for what would await in college. It was probably a good thing those additional two years helped me grow as an individual who is now able to make her own decisions and move forward with her choices. Both schools helped shape me into the person I am today. They helped me see what my capabilities were and my limitations as a student. It pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and strive for the best. Overall, I am proud of myself and the achievements I have gained but most importantly the lessons I get to carry along with me throughout my life. Hopefully I get to apply these more when I get to college and see where it takes me from there.
